This version isn’t anything too special: a few new features, a few removals of pretty meh features.
It also ports to 26.3, Wilderness Bound, which was a bit of a pain due to the ridiculous amounts of breaking changes. There’s a few minor changes noted below due to the update.
And yes, Into the Deep End is still being developed.
Additions
Better Bone Meal
Using bone meal on grass blocks can now yield bushes, red shrubs, dry grass, and ferns in the relevant biomes.
Increased Carpet Yield
All carpet recipes now give 8 carpet instead of just 3. This was added to tie in with all the new wool features (wool stairs, wool slabs, cushions) to try and make your time building with wool a little less annoying.
This affects all types of carpet, including moss and pale moss carpet.
Pottable Red Shrub
You can now put red shrubs into flower pots
Changes
Archaeologist
Archaeologists trades have been changed to the following:
- Clay Balls -> Emerald
- Emerald -> Decorated pot
- Copper Ingots -> Emerald
- Emerald -> Sand, gravel, or red sand
- Emeralds -> Enchanted brush
- Feathers -> Emerald
- Emerald -> Any color concrete powder
- Emeralds -> Enchanted diamond shovel
- Emeralds -> Explorer map
This makes it so the master level trade has 2 options (shovel/map) in case the map is unable to find an archaeology structure nearby.
Boomerang
Boomerangs can now be used as furnace fuel.
Boomerangs can also now break poplar saplings, red shrubs, and other blocks from Wilderness Bound.
Diluted Potions
Diluted potions are now brewed with amethyst shards instead of amethyst dust, as amethyst dust has been removed.
Hmm, perhaps there could be an echo shard potion type in the future…
Blind Rage Potion
Blind rage potions are now crafted with sculk shriekers as sightless eyes have been removed.
Their color has also been changed from a yellowish gray to a blue-green sculk color.
Wandering Trader Rework
Wandering traders can now trade poplar saplings and mushrooms of any kind
Removals
Sightless Eye
Sightless eyes have been removed and replaced with sculk shriekers for use in blind rage potions.
Glow Lichen Zombie
Glow lichen zombies have been removed as they were quite bland compared to all other zombie variants. They didn’t have any special outfits or interesting mechanics… they only served to be a delivery method for sightless eyes, which have also been removed.
Amethyst Dust
Amethyst dust has been removed and replaced with amethyst shards.
This feature was basically a holdover from the ring era. It only served as an ingredient for diluted potions.
