This recipe allowed you to repair your damaged anvils at the price of some iron.

It was removed as it was inconsistent with other recipes… why did it use the smithing table, of all things?

Anvils don’t have durability bars, and the smithing table is intended for upgrading tools. It didn’t make much sense.
