The creaking connector is a useful redstone component that makes a form of wireless redstone, emulating the connection between creaking and creaking hearts. Clicking on one with any type of sapling creates a saplink.

When the saplink is right-clicked, the connector gives off a comparator signal based on the sapling type used. The darker the wood, the higher the signal. There is no distance limit to the connection, so have fun making pearl stasis machines!

TODO: Add recipe description

It requires a creaking heart, so prepare for a spooky trip to your local pale garden (or woodland mansion!)

History

1.5.2*

Saplinks are now stackable

1.5.0+
  • A brand-new redstone block made from a creaking heart, giving new use to the pale garden
  • Acts as a wireless redstone system
  • When right-clicked with a sapling, it creates a “saplink”, which can be right-clicked to cause the connector to give off a signal
    • The darker the wood of the sapling, the higher the signal that is emitted
      • For example, pale oak gives off a signal of 1, while dark oak gives off 8
